One Room Challenge – The Office {Week 5}

Welcome to Week 5 of

The One Room Challenge

hosted by Linda at Calling it Home.

My Family Room

This week I slowed down a bit with my office progress but

I did manage to get a few things done…

I bought this sunburst mirror at Home Depot.

And I worked a bit on accessorizing the shelves.

(You can get a peak on the right)

At $34.95, you can’t go wrong with this mirror!

I bought a few plants for the space.

Let’s hope they make it to week 6!

As you can see, my seagrass basket has become the school/mail drop spot.

At least my kitchen counter has stayed clutter free!

I am also testing out frame sizes for the wall area.

In the upper right, is a director’s chair I brought up from the basement.  I am still deciding on the slipcovered white chair for the corner but I put this chair there for now.  I am also deciding what to put on the desk to accessorize.

And that’s about it for now.  I sure hope I can pull this room together by next week!

How are your rooms coming?

  1. Shelley, you are at my absolute part of decorating…the accessories!! I think you are smart to take your time with it. I love baskets to manage papers (and everything for that matter). I hope your plants make it to week 6 (they definitely wouldn't make it in my house 🙂 Have a great weekend! Courtney

  5. That mirror is just a great find, I have to check it out one of these days! Love greenery in any space, it just makes me feel like I'm breathing fresher air, and in your case, your mind and thinking will be 'fresher' too! Can' t wait to see it all next week!!!!

  6. Shelley, you look almost done. Great job! I am so jealous of the mail drop, and I have to laugh about the plants. I kill everything indoors. Can't wait to see the entire space.
